If you would like a brighter, more attractive and youthful smile, porcelain veneers are a reliable and speedy way to achieve it.
Simple tooth whitening will not help much if your teeth are chipped, unevenly spaced or crooked. Perhaps you have old crowns, tetracycline stains, or discolored composite fillings. Porcelain veneers can solve all of these problems and give you the smile you may have dreamed of for years.
If this sounds promising, we will be happy to listen to your concerns and goals and evaluate your dental health. Before any work is begun, we can show you examples of the end results.
How Veneers are Done
Veneers usually require only two main visits. We may also do a mid-treatment check to evaluate the temporary veneers, make changes, and finalize the parameters for your new veneers. To convey this additional information to the ceramist we will take multiple digital photographs.
One of the finest ceramists in the country will then use this data to create your individual smile. Once you approve them, the veneers will be securely bonded to your teeth with a laser. There is often a follow up visit for fine-tuning and polishing.
Caring for Your Porcelain Veneers
Dental porcelain does not stain and typically your veneers will last ten to fifteen years or longer. There is no need to worry about your veneers changing color. If you grind your teeth at night, we can create a mouthguard for you, to protect your veneers and remaining natural teeth. Tooth grinding causes premature wear and tear.
There is no further maintenance required for your porcelain veneers beyond your normal dental visits and good daily brushing and flossing. As long as you keep up with regular dental checkups, we guarantee our veneers for seven years.
